IHHT – modern breathing training while lying down for better sleep, more energy, and improved performance.
Interval hypoxia-hyperoxia training (IHHT) alternates between intervals of low and elevated oxygen levels to improve performance and endurance—as if you were training at altitudes of up to 6,500 meters. This alternation provides targeted stimuli and activates central processes at the cellular level.
The difference: you can do altitude training comfortably while lying down, right in the middle of Vienna. With the help of the Hypox Breath altitude training device, air conditions at high altitudes are simulated to adapt the body to different altitude conditions and thus lead it to a more efficient oxygen balance.

IHHT is a special oxygen training method in which the body alternates between:
The aim is to adapt the body to different altitude conditions and thus lead it to a more efficient oxygen metabolism. The process promotes cell regeneration and has a positive effect on cell metabolism, respiration, wound healing, vascular tone, stress, blood pressure, and physical performance.
IHHT is not only used for fatigue, exhaustion, insomnia, and stress, but also for weight loss and promoting cell health. Egg cells also benefit from the increased energy level, which leads to improved fertility.
Stable energy levels throughout the day at the cellular level, particularly helpful for chronic fatigue.
IHHT supports the nervous system and can help to better cope with stress and promote mental clarity.
Targeted oxygen training improves breathing efficiency and promotes a freer feeling when breathing.
Altitude training supports your sleep rhythm—your sleep feels deeper and more restful.
Your body and mind feel more resilient, especially when dealing with stress, heavy workloads, or athletic activities.
An altitude training session takes about 45 minutes and is performed in a relaxed lying position.
We start with our IHHT oxygen test to select the right training session for you. A special oxygen mask is used, under which the oxygen content is increased and decreased at intervals. The process is comparable to climbing and descending a mountain.
To really relax, cell phones are not allowed! Your pulse and oxygen levels are documented and monitored during and after altitude training.
For optimal oxygen therapy success, we recommend an initial consultation with our physicians, including a brief medical history check. This allows us to assess your goals and health status and discuss combinations with infusion therapies or other diagnostic options.
IHHT uses a simple trick for this cell training: fluctuating oxygen levels cause particular stress and stimulation for the mitochondria, which damaged and outdated mitochondria cannot withstand. This creates space for new and healthy mitochondria. The induced oxygen deficiency also leads to progress at the genetic level. This includes better blood circulation, increased production of red blood cells, more efficient oxygen supply to the cells, and thus an increased level of our daily energy levels.

Very pleasant, professional atmosphere; you feel welcome and well cared for. Just visiting alone brings a sense of calm. The altitude training gives you a boost of energy and leaves you feeling full of new motivation.
My experience at Youthclub far exceeded my expectations! At first, I knew nothing about IHHT (Intermittent Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy) and had been suffering from constant fatigue for a long time, despite visiting several doctors. Then I came across Youthclub and decided to have a free initial consultation with Dr. Köster, who was incredibly friendly and patiently answered all my questions. Thanks to his empathetic care and detailed explanations, I tried IHHT and it was the best decision I ever made. I now have two treatments per week and feel really fit! My fatigue has noticeably decreased, and I finally have the energy that I had been lacking for so long. IHHT has taken my well-being to a new level. Youthclub has given me a new quality of life, and I am very grateful for that. I can only recommend it warmly!
I was here twice this week for blood tests and to discuss findings for future treatments, and I felt very well taken care of. Nothing is sold here that doesn't really make sense or is needed! Everyone seems extremely competent and is super professional in their dealings, without losing any of their warmth and pleasant, family atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visits 🙂
No. The treatment is performed while lying down, without physical activity.
A series of 5-10 sessions is often recommended, depending on the goal and initial situation. In any case, we recommend a preliminary consultation with a physician before booking IHHT therapy. preliminary medical consultation (link to booking) to rule out any contraindications.
In the case of certain pre-existing conditions (such as serious respiratory diseases), a medical examination (link to booking) is necessary.
The most advanced IHHT training device, Hypox Breath, uses only proven control algorithms that have been shown to be safe in clinical tests and studies. Oxygen saturation and O2 concentration always remain within the defined range. The Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded in 2019 for the findings of this methodology. Since then, the topic of hypoxia has gained increased importance in research and application.
IHHT simulates the effects of altitude training—but in a controlled, individually tailored manner and without physical exertion.
Many users report increased energy or improved regeneration after just a few sessions. Long-term adjustments, such as improved metabolic function or increased resilience, usually develop over several weeks.
IHHT promotes the natural sleep-wake cycle and can be helpful if sleep problems are related to stress, inner restlessness, or an unbalanced energy balance.
We look forward to hearing from you and will get back to you shortly.
